Gateway Client Integrations

v4.2 Sprint F adds preview-only client integration planning for the localhost mock gateway.

This layer generates package-safe configuration previews for supported client families. It does not install clients, execute third-party tools, write global settings, activate external providers, or read provider credentials.

Scope

Supported planning targets:

  • Codex
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • Cline
  • Continue
  • Roo Code
  • Aider
  • Antigravity
  • Gemini CLI where compatible
  • MCP-based clients
  • generic OpenAI-compatible clients
  • custom Node.js clients
  • curl and PowerShell examples

Only the Sprint E mock provider is executable. Client plans target localhost and mock models.

Preview-First Model

Generated plans return:

  • client profile metadata
  • endpoint configuration
  • preview file entries
  • environment placeholders
  • compatibility result
  • redacted diagnostics
  • writes_performed: false

No configuration file is written by Sprint F APIs.

Sprint G observability can help validate local mock gateway traffic generated by custom clients. It records metadata-only traces and usage summaries; it does not retain prompts, completions, tokens, or global client configuration.

Compatibility Labels

  • validated-local: tested against the local mock gateway protocol.
  • protocol-compatible: compatible by metadata and adapter guidance, but not executed as a third-party client.
  • configuration-example: safe example only.
  • manual-review: potentially useful, but current client support must be confirmed manually.
  • unsupported: not compatible with the Sprint F localhost gateway plan.
